3rd Section of train 671 departs westbound from the 30 Yard at Eugene.

Eugene was Southern Pacific's largest terminal for operations in Oregon and at one point utilized a state of the art classicfation yard. The terminal consisted of the hump yard, reciveing yard, departure yard, roundhouse and machine shop, car shop and at one pint, the tie plant. Downtown Eugene was home to the passenger operations and utilized a small yard located on the north side of the Depot.
