Jordan Spreaders

Along with the flangers, the Jordan Spreaders have been a useful piece of equipment for snow removal. The spreader on the left, #4033 is still used today. The 4033 is equipped with a locomotive control stand and can operate any locomotive that is coupled to it. The 4047, pictured on the right, requires the engineer to operate the movement from the locomotive. The wings are controlled from the cab compartment on both spreaders. In September 2001 the 4047 made the trip to Chiloquin where it will now reside at Train Mountain.
