Crescent Lake

Two westbounds wait in the yard for an eastbound to make a crew change and depart for the hill.

This photo was taken from the cab of an eastbound arriving at Crescent Lake. The switches here has point, frog and gaurd rail heaters, which still operate on the existing switches during the winter months today.

Since the "Club House" was located on the banks of Crescent Creek, crews would often take advantage of this while on a lay-over.
