| Modoc Line, Sam Wong's potato spur, 1991 |
On September 17, 1991 at the Sam Wong's potato spur on the Modoc Line, a maintenance-of-way worker did not return a switch to the normal position. The result was the pile-up captured by Southern Pacific conductor Larry Ott who arrived at the location shortly after the wreck.
